Select the desired roasting level, from light (1) to dark (7), and press the start/stop button.

Listen for 3-4 "cracks" to indicate the roasting process has begun. Once heard, press the clock button, and the machine will enter automatic mode. After the roasting is complete, there will be a 3.5-minute cooling period. Turn off the power to finish the process.

If the roasting batch is small, you can simply press the start/stop button to begin and end the process, without the need to select a roasting level or press the clock button. Wait for the machine to cool down, then turn off the power.
